Brooklyn, New York – This is behind the scenes of the documentary film: “Victims of Misfortune: Changing the Pecking Order”. This documentary interview was conducted in Brooklyn, New York. We interviewed Dr. Divine Pryor. Its staff is comprised of academic professionals with prior experience within the criminal punishment system. It is the first and only public policy center of its kind in the country.
Dr. Pryor is a social scientist with extensive knowledge and expertise in the criminal justice, health and social service fields, having spent over half his career administering HIV/AIDS, domestic violence, substance abuse and other social service non-profits.
VICTIMS OF MISFORTUNE is a feature-length, social change documentary that will give a historical and current look at America’s criminal justice system and the discriminatory policies that people with a criminal background face, post conviction/release.
We would like to give a special thank you to Kyung-Ji Kate Rhee, Juvenile Justice Director at the Center for NuLeadership on Urban Solutions. We contacted her about 2 years ago while doing some research and she helped us with obtaining this interview.
